We Have Turned 40!

We Have Turned 40!

We Have Turned 40!

40 Years Together. Strengthened by History, Inspired by the Future – with this motto we marked our 40th anniversary this year. The celebrations took place on 9-11 September 2025 at the company’s headquarters on Toruńska Street in Radom – and not only there, but more on that later.

Our anniversary was of special significance not only for RADWAG, but also for the entire region. Its importance was evidenced by the presence of the city authorities, local media, rectors of higher education institutions and representatives of scientific and metrological institutes, as well as partners from every corner of the world. In total, nearly 200 people from home and abroad were hosted.

The celebrations were inaugurated with an address by the company’s CEO, Witold Lewandowski PhD Eng. Then, the participants watched multimedia presentations, which familiarised them with RADWAG’s 40-year history as well as illustrated technological breakthroughs and the company’s most important projects. One of the highlights of the anniversary programme was the award ceremony for distinguished partners, distributors and employees.

On the second day of the event, excursions took place: to the Radom Open-Air Museum and on the trail of the industrial symbols of Radom which have formed the economic image of the city over the years. The main celebrations  were accompanied by additional attractions such as artistic performances, crafts workshops, a fireworks display and a tasting of local specialities.

On the third day, we organised technical meetings for willing groups. Participants took part in discussions on a topic selected from the following: IT Solutions, Logistics, Installation & Service, Laboratory Offer, Industrial Offer and Mass Metrology.

RADWAG is an example of a local success story with an international reach. It was established in 1985 as a small craftsman’s workshop and today employs nearly 500 people. In Radom itself, apart from the head office, RADWAG has a second location, equipped with modern, fully automatic SMD electronics production systems and a fleet of CNC metalworking machines, as well as a Metrology, Testing and Certification Centre. The Centre, where we conduct metrology consultations and trainings as well as perform IQ, QQ and PQ qualifications, consists of a Measurement Laboratory and a Research Laboratory. RADWAG also has 8 field branches in Poland and 8 representative offices abroad, including in the USA, Germany, China and Brazil.

RADWAG is currently the largest manufacturer of electronic weighing devices in Poland and one of the industry leaders worldwide. We offer both laboratory balances (microbalances, analytical balances or moisture analyzers) and industrial scales, medical scales, automatic weighing systems, as well as specialised equipment for applications in many sectors of the economy, from the pharmaceutical industry, through food production to environmental protection.

Thank you for being with us for 4 decades! This is a celebration of all those who have built the RADWAG brand together with us. We believe that the following years will be equally fruitful.

Is Mass a Constant? Factors Affecting the Measurement Result

At first glance, the answer seems obvious. If an object has a mass of 100 grams, it should always weigh 100 grams. However, in metrological practice, the situation is much more complex.

Electrostatics – the Silent Precision Killer

On the one hand, accurate balance, controlled conditions and an experienced operator; on the other, inconsistent results. One of the most commonly overlooked culprits is electrostatic charge – a phenomenon which is exceptionally effective at interfering with mass measurements.

What Is ‘Calibration’ and How Does It Differ From Adjustment?

‘Calibration’ is a term historically associated with the balance adjustment process. Adjustment, on the other hand, is a set of activities through which a measuring instrument is made to operate in accordance with its intended use.
