Why? Because we want to have control over what reaches our customers. A good example is the housing of the 5Y series balances. We could have used only plastics for it. However, we opted for a robust alloy, which ensures adequate durability whilst also acting as a passive cooling system.
It is decisions like these which make up quality. Not grand declarations, but hundreds of details which someone has to think through, design, manufacture and test. And perhaps this is precisely how economic success is built – company by company, product by product, decision by decision. We want to be part of this story.
