What Does ‘Precision Balances’ Mean?

Indeed, there are balances with greater precision than precision balances. ‘Precision balances’ is the name of a category which refers to balances with a specific readability; in the case of RADWAG precision balances, this refers to a range of [d] 1 mg – 2,000 mg (2 g). Precision balances are less accurate than analytical balances, microbalances and ultra-microbalances, but still accurate enough for most industrial, educational or commercial applications. The term ‘precision’ in the case of balances therefore refers to general application and repeatability of measurement, rather than absolute accuracy.
Precision Balances With Legalization (Conformity Assessment)
We offer precision balances which can be legalized. Information on the possibility of legalization of a specific balance model may be found in the appropriate tab on our website (in the case of the PS 200/2000.X7 Precision Balance, it will be this tab); this is one of the last pieces of graphic information provided in the ‘Datasheet’ section and is marked with a capital letter M.
The following RADWAG precision balances will be legalized for an additional fee:
- PS X7 Precision Balances
- 5Y.PM Precision Balances
- PS 5Y Precision Balances
- C32.PM Precision Balances
- PS R2 Precision Balances
- WLC C/2 Precision Balances.
Battery-Powered Precision Balances
WLC C/2 Precision Balances, WLC Precision Balances and WTC Precision Balances can be powered in two ways:
- Mains (adapter: 100-240V AC 50/60Hz 0.6A; 12V DC 1.2A and balance: 10-15VDC 0.6A max)
- Battery power.
The alternative of battery power has many advantages, including:
-
Mobility and portability
Battery-powered balances are not dependent on a fixed power source (socket), which allows them to be used in places without access to the mains.
-
Protection against power outages
Batteries act as a UPS, allowing you to continue working during temporary power outages and longer failures.
-
Rechargeable
The batteries can be recharged multiple times, which is more environmentally friendly and economical than disposable batteries.
The operating time of RADWAG precision balances with battery power supply is 15 hours on average.
