What Is an Automatic Susceptometer and What Does It Measure? RADWAG New: SM 5Y.A

What Is a Susceptometer?

The SM 5Y.A Automatic Susceptometer is a device for measuring the magnetic susceptibility and permanent magnetization of mass standards. It enables the polarity of the magnet and the position level of the weighing pan to be changed automatically depending on the class of the mass standard under test. In simple terms, the instrument checks whether the mass standard has become magnetized and determines whether it is still useful for the calibration process.

What Does the Susceptometer Measure?

The SM 5Y.A Automatic Susceptometer measures the magnetic susceptibility and permanent magnetization of mass standards of class E1 and below with the readability [d] of 1 µg, according to OIML R111.

Where to Buy a Susceptometer?

You can buy the SM 5Y.A Automatic Susceptometer from one of our representatives. And not only the susceptometer – also compatible accessories such as receipt printers, RFID tags, fingerprint reader and much more.

What Is the Mass of Standards that the Susceptometer Can Test?

The SM 5Y.A Automatic Susceptometer measures the magnetic susceptibility and magnetization of class E1, E2, F1 and F2 mass standards, whose calibration range is from 2 g to 50 kg.

What Is the Shape of Mass Standards that the Susceptometer Can Test?

The SM 5Y.A Automatic Susceptometer measures the magnetic susceptibility and magnetization of mass standards in any shape. Rectangular ones and not. The exact shape of the mass standard to be tested is determined in the susceptometer settings before the measurement starts.

Will the Susceptometer Test a Rectangular Mass Standard or Mass Standard – Knob Weights?

The SM 5Y.A Automatic Susceptometer measures the magnetic susceptibility and magnetization of both rectangular mass standard and mass standard – knob weights.

Who Uses Susceptometers Most Often?

The SM 5Y.A Automatic Susceptometer will find a wide audience among calibration laboratory staff.

What Are the Extra Benefits of Choosing the SM 5Y.A Automatic Susceptometer?

The new RADWAG susceptometer is equipped with a 5Y terminal, which stands out among other laboratory terminals because it guarantees:

  • 21 CFR Part 11 compliance
  • Digital Balance Auditor (DWA)
  • 4+ login methods (password, fingerprint, face recognition, RFID* and combinations)
  • Handy Library with handy measurement history
  • Live Notes
  • Ambient Light
  • A wide range of widgets, databases, working modes and communication interfaces, including a Hotspot.

__________

*RFID ISO/IEC 14443 Type A, 13,56 MHz

What Interfaces Does the Susceptometer have? Peripherals You Can Easily Connect to

With the 5Y terminal, the SM 5Y.A Automatic Susceptometer will connect to:

  • Computer and laptop (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, USB-A)
