Smart Min Weight in RADWAG Balances – What Is It? In Which of Our Devices Do You Find It?
Standard minimum weight (USP) is a metrological parameter defining the weight value below which weighing under given conditions is not recommended due to the possibility of excessive measurement errors. Using the standard minimum weight ensures that weighing results are within the established tolerances, as required by the quality assurance system used. In our balances, we have the ability to set a standard minimum weight with individual tare for several products.
What is Smart Min Weight?
Smart Min Weight is a function found in balances manufactured by RADWAG. It allows you to display clear information specifying whether the value of the mass you want to weigh is below or above the standard minimum weight threshold. When the value of the weighed mass is below the standard minimum weight threshold, your result may not be reliable due to the likelihood of excessive measurement errors. If the value of the weighted mass is above the standard minimum weight threshold, your result will be reliable.
To increase the reliability of the weight measurement result you receive, you can use one of two Smart Min Weight modes:
- In one mode, the balance will prevent validation of the measurement that is below the standard minimum weight threshold – Block mode,
- In the second mode, the result will be validated, but there will be a sign (*) next to the measurement – Warn mode.
