Tailor-Made Balance or Scale: How Do You Choose a Weighing Device to Suit Your Needs?
That you need a balance or a scale, you already know. But which one will meet the requirements of your company, institution or production line? What do you want to weigh on it? This article will help you find the answers to these questions.
I Need a Balance/ Scale – and What Next?
Do you work in a laboratory or production facility? Or perhaps in a hospital or other health facility? Or in a hazardous area?
Regardless of what you do or where, you will find a scale to improve your work in our range. We can offer you:
- Laboratory Balances
- Industrial Scales
- Scales for Ex Areas
- Medical Scales
- Checkweighers
- PGC Scales
- Mass Comparators
Laboratory Balances, Meaning Which Ones?
If you need highly accurate balances for weighing small masses, look among the Laboratory Balances. There you will find: Ultra-Microbalances, Microbalances, Analytical Balances, Precision Balances and Moisture Analyzers. Ultra-Microbalances have the highest readability and the smallest maximum capacity, while Precision Balances are just the opposite; Microbalances and Analytical Balances fall in between. Moisture Analyzers are specialised instruments designed for the rapid analysis of samples for moisture, dry matter content and other product-related parameters.
Whom Are Industrial Scales for?
If you work in an industrial plant, these types of scales are indispensable to you. They include: HRP High Resolution Scales, Platform Scales (including 4-Load Cell Platform Scales), Pallet and Beam Scales, Livestock Scales, Overhead Track Scales and Postal Scales. We offer scales with a maximum capacity of up to 6 tonnes!
Medical Scales – What Are They Used for?
Medical Scales are used to weigh patients in healthcare facilities, students in schools or active athletes. We distinguish between Personal Scales, Baby Scales, Chair Scales and Bed Scales.
Checkweighers and PGC Scales – Are They for You?
Checkweighers, including PGC Scales, are indispensable in production halls. Mass measurement on a checkweigher, which is an automatic scales, takes place without operator intervention. The weighed product is placed on the scale by an automatic conveyor, ramp, crane or other mechanism. As the device does not require the weighed product to be manually placed on the scale, the weighing process gains in efficiency – an automatic scale enables a much larger number of goods to be weighed than a non-automatic scale at the same time.
Mass Comparators – What Types Are There?
Mass Comparators are designed to ensure the consistency of mass measurements and to verify weights according to the requirements of legal metrology. We distinguish between Automatic Mass Comparators (including vacuum comparators and density measurement comparators), Robotic Mass Comparators and Manual Mass Comparators plus Susceptometers. The susceptometer enables carrying out measurements of magnetic susceptibility and magnetization of weights.
What Do You Want to Weigh on Your Balance or Scale?
You already know our offer, so you know what we can give you. But do you know what you need? What will you be weighing? In what mass range? We have created a configurator to help you determine your needs. Start by selecting the range you want to weigh; to do this, reduce or increase the mass using the sliders at the beginning and end of the configurator line. Next, choose your preferred readability. On the left-hand side, you can specify the weighing pan dimension, communication interfaces and display features. Already during your search, you will see a list of suggested products that meet your constantly modified criteria. Click “Show me” and get to know your chosen balance or scale better. Add it to your basket if you need a reliable weighing device tailored to your needs.
